Turning Dreams into Purpose

Coming from a village in the lower hills of Kodaikanal, I joined Grihini after failing my Grade 10 examinations and being unable to continue my education. Inspired by other students, I completed my Grade 12 at Grihini, followed by a diploma in Multi-Disability Rehabilitation, a B.A. through correspondence, and a B.Ed. Motivated by Grihini, I became a teacher supporting children with intellectual disabilities at a local Government High School. Despite the modest salary, my work brings me immense joy and fulfilment. I also encourage children in my village to attend school regularly, inspiring families and relatives to prioritise their children’s education.
